ANIMATION - WHY DOES IT WORK?
	Our eyes remember the image of what we are looking at for a split second after the image is removed. In the video below, a bird is drawn on a cardboard disk. A cage is drawn on a second disk. Then both sides are tied together with a shoe lace. By spinning the disk as shown, it appears as if the bird is in the cage. Well, sort of. You get the idea.
	So, every time something that you look at moves, your eyes retain its image for an instant. Meanwhile, a new image is forming right on top of that image in a different position. When these images blend together, it creates the sensation of motion. Watch the video below. There are only two  drawings of the clown on two pages. Then the top page gets flipped back and forth. Our brains process the images so it appears as if the clown is moving.
